POND HOUSE

The Pond House captures the light hearted mood of the early 1900s. Stephen built the Pond House as a 60th birthday present for his wife Cheryl. The retreat is filled with Cheryl’s mother’s wicker collection. The walls are decorated with collectible artworks with a water theme. Lazy summer evenings can be spent on the deck overlooking the large pond where schools of Koi can be seen swimming by the pier.

One of the collectible artworks on display in the Pond House is an original oil painting by the California artist A. Cedro. The painter was a staff artist with the Perry expedition to the arctic region in 1909. He settled in Siskiyou County in northern California, and his surviving work consists of pastoral scenes and murals.

Our granddaughters, Clare and Quinn, enjoy an afternoon on the deck of the Pond House.
