POTTING SHED & NURSERY

The Potting Shed, with attached nursery, was built from materials reclaimed from a granary Stephen dismantled on a ranch near Fort Bidwell, CA. The building serves as a framing shop, potting shed, and is the home of our garden library. The views out the window include the majestic Warner Mountains. Some of Cheryl’s extensive basket collection is displayed hanging from the ceiling.

Tucked in the corner is Stephen & Cheryl’s garden library, where summer evenings can be spent reading while enjoying the view of the scenic Warner Mountains.

The large wood burning stove in the center of the Potting Shed, was found stored in a barn on a ranch in Merrill, OR. It originally was used in one of the barracks at the Tulelake Segregation Center, where Japanese Americans were incarcerated during World War II

The windows in the Potting Shed were salvaged from Adin High School. The last graduating class was the class of 1959. The school was sold to a local resident for $1.00 and it was torn down in the early 1970s.
